Our team had the pleasure of participating at the XXI Annual Rotary Chili Cook-off. It was a wonderful event benefiting Rotary of The Villages projects that go right into our community as well as world-wide (water wells, polio eradication, cleft palate repairs, etc.). We were lucky enough to have our tent between the Sumter County Sherriff’s office and the South of Sixty Club of The Villages. We had a friendly competition with our tent “neighbors” and all those who came by.
Even though we didn’t win best chili, comments like “your is the best”, “this is really good” and “if you don’t win, it’s all a set-up!”, definitely made us proud.
