So many shots, no goals

Our Tuesday game was one game everyone was expecting to be a battle. Players and coaches had been talking about the importance of this particular game. As of right now, there are 3 teams that have shown to be contenders: The Villages SC :-), SIMA Aguilas, and Lakeland Tropics. We went in knowing that to continue to fight for the title we needed to do well in this game. The fans came out to support once again and the atmosphere was great but the ball just didn’t go in. We kept most of the ball possession. The defenders showed their skills as they didn’t let SIMA’s strong attackers have much room on our side. Fans were seen almost jumping off their seats several times as we got close so many times. We had 18 shots on goal and 2 goals called offsides. They had only 8 shots and our players left the field feeling we were the better team even though the score ended in a 0x0 tie. But that is soccer, isn’t it!

We hope these past 2 games made you all proud of our team and more excited about this season. It sure made us. Go Buffalo!
